Last few days have given me a lot to think about.
interacting with so many people, so many discussions, opinions… everyone has something to say, without realizing the impact the words may have on others around them. Its been an interesting few days of learning how simple things can get on your nerves at times and how the saying “Distance makes the hearts grow fond” truly is a real thing!
Sometimes I love to sit still – completely idle – reflecting upon the happenings of the day or something specific that happens. Spending time with yourself to reflect is actually a very healthy thing. In fact, we should reflect on our days each night before sleeping to make the next day even better than the last.
Reflecting has helped me realize mistakes, make changes and come back stronger.
You should try it as well. Sometimes you have no explanations for some things – why it happened, what it created or changed – at least not yet. But I truly believe answers exist in the universe by the Almighty. It has happened to me several times where I don’t understand why something happened to me (such as my recent job loss) but later I will realize the benefits. My previous job loss lead to a better position with much more pay and responsibility!
That makes me hopeful. Despite the long list of rejection emails that come in daily for my job applications – I stay positive. There is an Almighty who has a better plan that I will wait to see. My love for Allah is an endless mystery – the faith needs no explanations but the mystery shall reveal itself soon! inshAllah.
Have you ever felt like that?
